Live updates as gridlock in Cardiff as two incidents bring city roads to standstill

There is gridlock in Cardiff this evening due to two incidents that have brought the city's roads to a standstill. According to the traffic monitoring service Inrix, Ninian Park Road has been closed in both directions due to an incident in the area.

There is slow traffic due to an accident that has taken place between B4267 Leckwith Road and Kitchener Road. Meanwhile, another incident has taken place at the junction of Sloper Road and Leckwith Road.

There is a lane closure on the A4232, with traffic said to be "incredibly slow" in the west of Cardiff. We will bring you further updates on both incidents as soon as they come to us.

Welsh Ambulance Services has confirmed that they attended the incident and one person has been conveyed to the University Hospital of Wales in the Heath area of Cardiff.
