Live updates as bank holiday traffic and accident cause long tailbacks

Traffic Wales are warning of delays on the roads on bank holiday Monday. There is heavy congestion on the A40 eastbound in Carmarthenshire and an accident at the St Clears roundabout. The worst hit area is from Sarnau to the A48 at Pensarn.

Monitoring systems are showing 40 minute delays the Tenby Road Texaco Fuel Station to the A48 Pensarn Roundabout.

Traffic Wales says: "Plan ahead and allow additional travel time if you're in the area." There are also reports of an obstruction on the eastbound carriageway of the M4 at junction 47 Swansea West Services.

Traffic cameras show very difficult driving conditions along the M4 with heavy rain forecast for most of Monday as people head home from the bank holiday weekend.
