Live updates after earlier M4 closure westbound continues to cause long delays near Newport
A broken down vehicle has caused significant and lengthening delays on the M4 heading westbound near Newport.
The incident closed the road at Junction 27 High Cross temporarily until the final lane was reopened at 2.30pm. Travel time from Junction 24 to Junction 27 at 3pm was around 20 minutes.
Images from Traffic Wales showed numerous police vehicles at the scene shortly before 2pm.
