Red Bull Racing will reveal its 2022 Formula 1 car this evening. Dubbed the RB18, this is the car newly crowned champion Max Verstappen and teammate Sergio Perez will use to challenge the new season with.

Following a daunting and challenging 2021 season, both Red Bull and Verstappen will look to build on last season's successes and secure the team's first double championship since 2012-2013. Red Bull was on a dominant run of form between 2010 and 2013, winning both championships on the trot with Sebastian Vettel leading the charge.

Late last year, Red Bull confirmed that they would be continuing with Perez's services alongside Verstappen. The Mexican driver drove exceptionally well throughout the year and secured his first win for the team - and the second of his career - at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Perez would put in even more fantastic performances throughout the rest of the season, culminating with him being the perfect wingman to Verstappen in the season's final race.

The 2022 challenge

F1 had undergone a technical regulation overhaul for 2022 to improve racing and promote overtaking. Like Mercedes-AMG, Red Bull had to divide its attention and resources into two cars: last year's and the new one. These two teams battled until the very end for championship honour, with the Silver Arrows winning the Constructors' title and the Bulls the Drivers'
