LIVE: Police close off Greater Manchester road after serious incident - updates
Police have closed off a road in Trafford following a serious crash overnight. Officers were called out to Wellington Road, in Timperley, in the early hours of this morning (December 9).
The road remains closed this morning, near to North Vale Road. Eyewitnesses say police have been stopping pedestrians from walking past the scene today.
Traffic is also unable to use Wellington Road. Images from the scene show debris strewn across the road following the collision, including broken wheelie bins.

The crash appears to involve a grey Volkswagen Scirocco with a damaged front bumper. Further details about the incident and the driver's condition are yet to be confirmed.
Greater Manchester Police, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and North West Ambulance Service have been approached for further details.
