LIVE: Miles of congestion on M6 after crash as queues build - updates

Drivers on the M6 southbound are facing delays this afternoon following a collision.

The carriageway is partially blocked between J17 Congleton and J16 Stoke-on-Trent, with delays of around 40 minutes. It is currently unclear how long delays will last.

National Highways say there are currently around five miles of congestion in the area, and are asking drivers to consider alternative routes.
