Live: Matildas take on Philippines in second Asian Cup group game in Mumbai

The Matildas are well on their way to reclaiming the Asian Cup title they last lifted in 2010, kicking off their campaign last week with an historic 18-0 defeat of minnows Indonesia.

Tonight the tournament favourites take on the Philippines, who on Friday delivered one of the biggest upsets of the group stage so far with a shock win over Thailand.

Adding to the drama, former Matildas boss Alen Stajcic is now heading up the Philippines. He will face his old side for the first time since his controversial sacking in 2019.

Will Australia dominate or will the Philippines pose a difficult challenge?

And it appears Gustavsson doesn't care much about social media's opinion when deciding on his starting XI.

He makes three changes to the team-sheet from the Indonesia game with goalkeeper Mackenzie Arnold replaced by youngster Teagan Micah, veteran midfielder Tameka Yallop starts in place of Clare Wheeler, and forward Kyah Simon — who scored Australia's winning penalty in the 2010 final against North Korea - starts ahead of Hayley Raso.

Stajcic, meanwhile, makes a number of changes from the win over Thailand, including putting captain Tahnai Annis on the bench. Goal-scorer Chandler Blue McDaniel makes her second start, as does Sarina Bolden, an American-born striker who's currently based in Japan's WE. League.

What do you make of the line-ups? Anyone tough to miss out? What kind of mix should Gustavsson be going for in these group-stage matches?
