LIVE: Manchester Piccadilly train delays and cancellations after 'signalling fault'
There is widespread disruption at Manchester Piccadilly this evening due to a 'signalling fault'.
Services are being cancelled and delayed as fewer trains are able to run while the problem is being fixed. The fault is affecting Northern and Avanti services.
A statement on the National Rail Enquiries website says: "A fault with the signalling system in the Manchester Piccadilly area means that fewer trains are able to run on some lines. As a result, trains operating to / from Manchester Piccadilly may be cancelled or delayed by up to 15 minutes."
