LIVE Major collision between motorcyclist and lorry as road taped off and air ambulance scrambled - updates
Emergency services are at the scene of a major collision involving a motorcyclist and a lorry this afternoon. Police and paramedics are in attendance on Strines Road (B6101) near Marple with an air ambulance also reportedly in attendance.
The main road is closed in both directions amid the emergency response. It is thought the serious collision involved a heavy goods vehicle and a motorbike this afternoon.
Police are at the scene guiding traffic away amid ongoing investigations. The Serious Collision Investigation Unit are also at the scene.
