LIVE: M65 closed in both directions due to 'police-led incident' - updates

The M65 in Lancashire is closed due to a 'police-led incident'. All traffic is being held on the motorway between junction five for Guide/Shadsworth and junction six for Blackburn/Whitebirk.

The incident was first reported shortly after 6am today. Lancashire Police said the closure is due to an incident on Stanhill Road Oswaldtwistle. A spokesperson said: "Please expect delays and we will reopen as soon as possible."

National Highways Traffic Officers are also on scene assisting with traffic management. A diversion has been put in place.
