LIVE: M60 and M62 traffic delays with lanes shut after crash and flooding - updates

Drivers are facing issues on both the M62 and M60 this morning with lanes shut due to a crash and flooding.

According to traffic alert service Inrix, two lanes are currently shut on the M62 westbound due to flooding. They are closed between junction 19 for Heywood to junction 18 for Simister Island.

Motorway cameras show queues starting to build up to the closure. On the M60, two lanes are closed on the clockwise carriageway after a crash.

They are shut between junction five for Princess Parkway to junction six for Sale. Lane three and four, or four, are closed.

After earlier flooding, traffic is now easing on the M60 clockwise near junction five for Princess Parkway.

All lanes have been reopened.

According to traffic alert service Inrix, these are the current issues on the motorways:

M62 - GREATER MANCHESTER - WESTBOUND - Two lanes closed and queueing traffic due to flooding on M62 Westbound from J19 A6046 Middleton Road (Heywood) to J18 M66 J4 (Simister Island). Congestion to M62 J20 (Rochdale).

There is also queuing traffic up to these incidents, which have now cleared -

M60 - GREATER MANCHESTER - CLOCKWISE - Queueing traffic due to earlier accident on M60 clockwise from J27 A6188 Tiviot Way (Portwood Roundabout) to J1 A5145 Travis Brow (Stockport Pyramid). Congestion to M60 J24 (Denton Island. All lanes have been re-opened.
