LIVE: M6 drivers hit by huge traffic delays with miles of queues
Drivers can expect some major delays on the M6 today as two of four lanes have been closed on the southbound carriageway.
A section of the motorway has been closed between junction 21 for Warrington, and junction 20 for the M56 to allow workers to carry out repairs on the Thelwall Viaduct.
At the moment, travel time past the roadworks is expected to take around 45 minutes, with more than four miles of queues snaking back past the lane closures.
