LIVE: Heavy traffic and queues on M60 after crash

There are delays on a section of the M60 near Stockport this morning following a crash involving two vehicles.

One lane is closed on the M60 anticlockwise at J25, for Brinnington, following the accident.

The accident happened just after 8am and is currently causing congestion up to junction 27.

MancTraffic tweeted: "M60 ac/w within j25 queues and 1 lane closed after a 2 car shunt. Congestion to j27."

People are being advised to avoid the area if possible.

Highways England said there are currently around ten minutes of traffic between J27 and J25.

The M.E.N has contacted Greater Manchester Police for information.
