Live Bank Holiday traffic updates as delays continue on M60 and M56

Delays are reported on a number of Greater Manchester roads this Bank Holiday Monday (May 5).

Congestion continues on the M60 clockwise from J17 A56 Bury New Road (Prestwich / Whitefield) to J18 M66 J4 (Simister Island).

Lane one and two (of four) were closed and while all lanes have reopened there are still reports of queueing traffic.

Temporary lights also remain in place on Bury New Road after a sinkhole appeared last week.

Elsewhere there are delays on the A57 Hyde Road and Mottram Moor and, down in Cheshire, delays are reported on the M56 Eastbound from J10 A49 Tarporley Road (Stretton) to J9 M6 J20 (Lymm Interchange) due to a crash.
