The Aston Martin Formula 1 team is the third to reveal their racing car for the upcoming Formula 1 season. Called the AMR22, the car will be driven by Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll as they look to make the most of the new technical regulations introduced this year.

The team confirmed that both Vettel and Stroll will be in attendance and will be joined by key team members. It remains to be seen if Lawrence Stroll, Lance's father and team owner, will attend. Stroll Sr. led a consortium of buyers in August 2018 to acquire the then-Force India team and relaunched it as Racing Point. Lance joined his father's team in 2019, with Vettel coming onboard in 2021 as the team was then renamed Aston Martin.

Given the new regulations for 2022, all F1 teams are starting from zero as the sport looks to reshuffle the pecking order. It, thus, provides an opportunity for teams like Aston Martin to fight at the front of the grid.

Aston Martin said in a statement: "The AMR22 will be the first Aston Martin F1 car to be created to the new technical regulations and represents the biggest design overhaul in decades, making this a significant moment in our history."
