LIVE as M60 drivers stuck in nine-mile traffic queues after crash

A crash involving two cars has caused nine miles of traffic on the M60. A lane has been closed on the motorway following the incident which occurred anti-clockwise from junction 11 on the A57 Liverpool Road in Barton to junction 10 of the Trafford Boulevard near the Trafford Centre.

According to the traffic monitoring tool, Inrix, the congestion stretches to junction 17 near Prestwich. Inrix says: "One lane closed and queueing traffic for nine miles due to accident, two cars involved on M60 anticlockwise from J11 A57 Liverpool Road (Barton) to J10 B5214 Trafford Boulevard (Trafford Centre). Congestion to J17 Prestwich/Whitefield."
