There is heavy traffic on a stretch of the M62 this morning after a crash.

According to traffic alert service Inrix, three lanes have been closed off on the westbound carriageway between junction 20 for Rochdale and junction 19 for Middleton. An entry slip road is also closed at junction 20 onto the motorway.

Queues are building up to the closure. Traffic cameras show heavy traffic on the motorway.

It has not yet been confirmed how many vehicles are involved in the crash or whether anyone is seriously injured.
