Lionel Messi: Video of Barcelona fans showing him love after PSG boos
Lionel Messi was subjected to boos and jeers from Paris Saint-Germain fans every time he touched the ball last Sunday.
In the team’s Ligue 1 meeting versus Bordeaux at the Parc des Princes, the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner and various other members of the team, including Neymar, received very hostile receptions from the home fans.
It’s the first time in Messi’s distinguished professional career that he’s been subjected to boos from the supporters of the team he is representing.
At Barcelona, the little Argentine genius was always shown the respect he deserves and even when the team were struggling, his name was loudly cheered inside Camp Nou.
But thing have been very, very different at PSG.
Messi’s struggles in the two legs against Real Madrid in the Champions League have resulted in the fans who welcomed him with open arms just last summer turning on him.
The booing aimed at Messi by PSG supporters was, unsurprisingly, huge news and many people on social media offered their take on the matter.
Barcelona fans were not happy one bit and some have decided to remind those associated with the Parisian club of how they should treat arguably the greatest footballer in history.
Footage of Cules giving Messi an incredible ovation after he was sent out to warm-up in a Champions League match against PSG (ironic, right?) has gone viral once again and it’s easy to see why after last Sunday’s events in the French capital.

Messi fans were telling me "PSG fans did more for Messi than Barcelona."This is how we treated the greatest player of all time. Forever our king ❤ pic.twitter.com/gKRiE6sWlE
What a reception it was. Sadly, we can’t see that happening at PSG
