Lionel Messi's greatest skill? Barcelona legend's mind-boggling nutmeg on Filipe Luis in 2018
Lionel Messi has done some extraordinary things during his career.
He has been and still is a real joy to watch. Nearly every time he steps on a football pitch, he does something which makes you think ‘wow, how on earth did he do that?’
The Argentine’s ball control is off the charts and he possesses world-class agility.
That means he has embarrassed countless – probably thousands – of defenders during his career.
And one man who was left bamboozled by Messi was Filipe Luis.
The Brazilian was the victim of arguably Messi’s greatest ever skill.
Back in November 2018, Barcelona travelled to Madrid to play Atletico at the Wanda Metropolitano.
In the match, Messi produced a skill which was absolutely ridiculous.
He headed the ball up in the air and was being tightly marked by Luis. The Argentine then produced a quite incredible touch to nutmeg Luis and drive at Atletico’s defence.
