Lionel Messi: Argentina icon tried to sign pitch invader's back after goal vs Jamaica

Before the international break, Lionel Messi‘s goal tally for Argentina stood at 86.

Following the conclusion of the domestic sabbatical, the Paris Saint-Germain superstar now has 90 to his name on international duty.

Messi scored a brace in a 3-0 victory over Honduras last weekend and he bagged yet another double in the early hours of Wednesday morning UK time, this time against Jamaica.

The 35-year-old came off the bench to help secure another 3-0 win for Argentina.

Messi replaced Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez in the 56th minute of play and half hour after his entrance, Messi’s left foot made Jamaica’s net bulge to put La Albiceleste 2-0 ahead.

The Barcelona legend collected the ball in the middle of the pitch, drove at the opposition’s defence and then powerfully smashed the ball into the far bottom corner.
