Limerick dealing with 'breach of team protocols'
Limerick have said they are dealing with "a breach of our team protocols" after an incident involving a member of their senior hurling squad last Sunday.
The Treaty edged closer to a Munster SHC final appearance after a hard-fought seven-point round-robin victory over Tipperary at the TUS Gaelic Grounds.
It marked the first ever time Limerick secured victories over Tipp in four successive years in the championship.
On Tuesday night, Limerick GAA's official Twitter account posted a brief statement on behalf of the hurling management team that read: "On Sunday last a member of the Limerick senior hurling squad was involved in a breach of our team protocols.
"The matter has been dealt with by management internally and no further comment will be made on the matter at this time."
Limerick face Clare in their final round-robin game this Sunday in Ennis.
