Liam Payne's girlfriend 'agrees to police interview' over One Direction star's death

Liam Payne's girlfriend is set to be questioned by Argentinian authorities as part of the investigation into the singer's death.

Kate Cassidy, who was in Argentina with Liam before his tragic passing in October, left for Florida just two days before he died.

The former One Direction star lost his life at the age of 31 after falling from the third floor of a hotel, an incident which an autopsy revealed caused "multiple traumatic injuries" leading to instant death due to "internal and external haemorrhage."

Currently, police are seeking to question three individuals, including Liam's friend, Roger Nores, who has declined to answer questions. Two others implicated, Braian Nahuel Paiz - an alleged dealer - and Ezequiel David Pereyra, who worked at the hotel, exercised their right to silence during a Zoom hearing on December 17 with Judge Laura Bruniard.

Nores, who has rejected suggestions that he left Liam alone before his fatal fall from the CasaSur Palermo Hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, also chose not to respond to inquiries during interrogation. His defense attorney informed the judge of plans to submit a written statement soon, though further details haven't been disclosed.

Additionally,r the hotel's chief receptionist Esteban Grassi and security head Gilda Martin were set to be questioned in the week following December 16, reports the Mirror.

Sources now suggest that Liam's girlfriend is willing to assist law enforcement with their investigation and is reportedly being prepared for an interview. Cassidy, 25, is not under investigation herself but local authorities hope she may provide insight into Liam's final days.

Kate will give a witness statement to aid the ongoing investigation. A source told The New York Post:
