Liam Gallagher helps Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois make history after Wembley performance

Liam Gallagher helped Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois make history on Saturday night when he performed at Wembley.

Gallagher took to the stage at the home of English football less than an hour before the huge heavyweight showdown. The Oasis singer performed classic hits Rock n' Roll Star, Supersonic, and Cigarettes and Alcohol.

And, in doing so, Gallagher helped make history, as the show became the biggest live boxing event in British history. The previous record for the biggest attendance at a U.K. boxing event was 94,000 fans for a 2021 fight between Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte.

However, there were 96,000 people inside Wembley to watch Gallagher and then Joshua take on Dubois. After shifting 90,000 tickets for the show, Saudi Arabian boxing power broker Turki Alalshikh announced that a new block of tickets would be added, bringing the attendance number up to 96,000.

That’s 2000 people short of the overall Wembley Stadium attendance record set by singer Adele in 2017, but it’s impressive that they’re close enough to say 'Hello' to the iconic singer’s benchmark. Gallagher is set to return to Wembley next year when Oasis play seven concerts at the iconic venue as part of the Oasis reunion tour.

Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois will be broadcast live on DAZN pay-per-view.

Boxing fans can order the fight here for £19.99 to stream the action live from Wembley.
