Lewis Hamilton: Brit's fans will love Jenson Button's prediction for 2022

2009 Formula 1 world champion Jenson Button says that we’re going to see the best of Lewis Hamilton in the 2022 season, as the Briton eyes another shot at a record-breaking eighth world title.

After weeks of speculation, it is now clear that Lewis Hamilton will be returning to the sport for 2022, with him ready to put behind him the events of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix back at the end of 2021.

Indeed, you can sense that that is going to be a source of motivation for him as he looks to take the fight to Max Verstappen once more, and it’s going to be fascinating seeing how 2022’s new regulations add extra spice to the rivalry.

Button, though, thinks we’re going to see an A1 Lewis in action this coming season, and reckons that the time he spent away from social media is going to only help him attack the coming campaign:

“I think for him it was a fantastic time to get away from the sport and relax and recharge.

“Every driver needs that.

“It doesn’t matter whether they’ve won the world championship or not, or lost the world championship on the last lap.

“He’ll come back a recharged man and we’ll see the best of Lewis Hamilton.

“He is one of the best guys that’s ever driven a Formula 1 car and he’s going up against one of the best that’s ever driven a Formula 1 car.

“This battle, this doesn’t happen very often in Formula 1 so hopefully we’re going to have a lot more of that in 2022.”
