Lewis concern, Gundogan truth and Haaland sympathy - Man City response after Wolves win
Manchester City left it late to earn a Premier League win at Wolves on Sunday.
John Stones struck with almost the last touch of the game to earn three points with his late winner being given after an on-pitch VAR review. It completed a turnaround for City who again conceded first but levelled through Josko Gvardiol before the break.
The victory ensured City stay second in the table behind early leaders Liverpool and Pep Guardiola's side have now opened up a three-point advantage over rivals Arsenal following their defeat to Bournemouth. mancityboy: "This ageing squad is well past its sell by date. Lewis is an excellent prospect in midfield but must be the worst full back in the league. Stones again is good in midfield but has lost it as a defender.
"Gundogan and Kovacic looked as though they had forgotten their walking sticks. Doku's final ball is terrible - he needs to look up. It is time for a rethink as the team are getting worse each season.
"Other than Gvardiol the defenders have become too slow to continue to play such a high line. Although they are still a top Premier League team they are now hanging on to that position. It is time to rebuild with younger players and to play the players in their natural positions."
RichardMorris: "Sometimes you have to win ugly which we did today. The ponderous build up against a team like Wolves is just so frustrating. Would love to see the centre backs playing a quick
