Lennox Lewis tips Wilder to knock out Joshua

Former world boxing heavyweight champion, Lennox Lewis, has predicted that Deontay Wilder will knock out Anthony Joshua in the battle of former champions if the fight ever happens.

Wilder’s trainer, Malik Scott, has seemingly confirmed the fight against Joshua, according to boxing247.com.

Lewis, who fought and defeated each and every worthy opponent, with the notable exception of Riddick Bowe, said Joshua would not have any chance against Wilder.

“Joshua against Wilder? Definitely Wilder,” Lewis said. “Wilder’s got that thing in him where he wants to hurt you and I’ve seen it every time he throws that right hand, he’s trying to damage you with that right hand. He throws it with intention,” he said.

Many pundits have predicted that the fight would not go the distance, saying that whoever lands the first big blow, wins. And Lewis, who was no slouch when it came to rendering guys unconscious back when he was taking care of business, clearly feels it will be Wilder, who lands a bomb first.

Meanwhile, Joshua has confirmed plans for a showdown with Wilder in December in Saudi Arabia, writes mmamania.com.

Reports have been coming out through April that the Saudi Boxing Federation has been plotting to put together one of the biggest nights in boxing history.
