Leinster sweating on Ryan Baird and James Lowe fitness for Toulouse tussle

Leinster are hoping Ryan Baird and James Lowe will be fit for their Heineken Champions Cup semi-final showdown with Toulouse at the end of the month after the duo went off injured in Friday's quarter-final win over Leicester.

The Irish province said today that lock/back-row Baird would be out "for a few weeks" having picked up a shoulder injury while winger Lowe will have his calf further assessed this week.

Neither player was expected to travel to South Africa for the upcoming URC fixtures against the Lions and Bulls.

Leinster face Toulouse in a rematch of last year's semi-final at the Aviva Stadium on 29 April.

There was better news on Caelan Doris and Garry Ringrose, who Leinster side both came through the game at the weekend with no issues after completing the graduated return to play protocols

Josh van der Flier (ankle), Johnny Sexton (groin), Jamie Osborne (knee), Rónan Kelleher (shoulder), Joe McCarthy (ankle), Cormac Foley (hamstring), Martin Moloney (knee) and Charlie Ngatai (hamstring) all remain out.
