Following Arsenal's 1-0 win away at Aston Villa last month, the players' post-match celebrations were called out and not for the first time. Speaking to VillaTV after the game, Ashley Young said that "it was like they (Arsenal) won the league."
Young's comments came just a month after Wolves' Ruben Neves also questioned the fashion in which the Gunners celebrated at the full-time whistle. "I didn't see Arsenal celebrating like this in the past 10 years - it was like they won the league," the Wolves man said.
Digs surrounding Arsenal's celebrations have become a regular theme this season, leaving supporters frustrated due to the lack of understanding behind the team spirit and passion. However, Young has given them a reason to laugh back at him today after the 36-year-old scored an own-goal during Villa's 2-1 defeat away at Wolves.
