Leeds vs Manchester United LIVE early team news, predicted line-ups and score predictions

Manchester United will be looking to make it two wins on the spin on Sunday afternoon as they take on Leeds United.

A lot has changed since the opening day of the season when United hammered their fierce rivals 5-1 but the intense rivalry between the two clubs has not.

It's bound to be a raucous atmosphere at Elland Road as the home fans will be in attendance for the match for the first time in over a decade after they were unable to go last season due to the pandemic.

Ralf Rangnick's side have been handed the chance to stretch their advantage in fourth place to four points after West Ham could only draw once again on Saturday, this time to Newcastle, but Arsenal continued to make up ground with a win and still have three games in hand.

United will be without Edinson Cavani again for the match but welcome back Raphael Varane to the fold, while Eric Bailly and Nemanja Matic remain doubtful following their returns to training.

Ralf Rangnick says he is lucky to have Darren Fletcher's expertise to call upon on a daily basis, even though he is not entirely sure what his role as technical director specifically entails.

Fletcher, 38, was named Manchester United's first ever technical director in March of last year, with John Murtough taking up the role as the club's football director.

Despite holding a senior boardroom title at the club, Fletcher has regularly been seen taking part in first-team training sessions and helping to run drills on matchdays. The Scot has also watched some matches from the press box with the analysts and the directors' box this season.
