Leeds stalwart targeted for record-breaking move which could see him earn £10m per season

Aston Villa are the current front-runners to sign Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips at the end of the season, according to a fresh transfer report.

The 26-year-old is arguably one of the most important players at Elland Road, with his lengthy absence through injury this season hurting the Whites badly.

The hope is that Phillips remains with the Whites, of course – he has been hailed as ‘phenomenal’ by former England manager Fabio Capello – but there is surely only a chance of him staying if relegation is avoided.
