Lavish restaurant giving out 6,000 free lunches throughout January - but you'll need to act quick

A popular restaurant has announced it will be handing out a whopping 6,000 free lunches in January across its venues in the UK.

Steak and Argentinian restaurant Gaucho, which has a site in Deansgate, has said it will celebrate the start of the year with a special offer marking the launch of its new menu - offering people the chance to claim a free two-course lunch for up to four people.

Available at its 20 locations across the country, the offer will allow people the chance to try out Gaucho’s new Winter Set Lunch - which features Latin American-inspired dishes, like beef tartare tacos and vegan tostada de Superstraccia, as well as an all-new Argentine trifle.

However, the offer is not just being handed out normally - and there’s not long left to be in with a chance of being selected for a free lunch.. People will need to fill in an online form to sign up to Gaucho’s mailing list here before 9am on Tuesday (December 31).

Those who are successful will receive a secret booking link through OpenTable, which will allow them to take up the free dining deal. The set menu also includes the choice to opt for 180g rump steak and a dulce de leche pancake.

The special menu, which is available from Monday to Friday between 12pm to 4pm, is also available at all Gaucho restaurants from January 2 to 31 with two courses for £19.50 or three for £24.

Earlier this month, Gaucho was named the second most popular Greater Manchester restaurant of the year by online platform TheFork. Based in a converted Methodist church, on St Mary’s Street, the vaulted restaurant also features a vast wine list as well as a popular Sunday roast offering.

The terms and conditions for the offer state that bookings are non-transferable and non-amendable, and
