Lando Norris sends Daniel Ricciardo message after Aussie's McLaren exit news

Lando Norris has paid tribute to his team-mate Daniel Ricciardo after the news that the Aussie will be leaving McLaren at the end of 2022 was confirmed.

When Ricciardo joined Norris for the start of the 2021 campaign, many were excited to see just how the two would spur one another on and, indeed, the team on as they looked for a return to the very front of the grid.

Come the middle of 2022, though, and whilst Norris has absolutely shone over the last 18 months, Ricciardo has found it far more difficult, with him just simply unable to be at one with both the 2021 McLaren and this year’s model, despite the all-new regulations that were ushered in.

The news is confirmed, then, that Ricciardo is leaving the team at the end of this season and Norris will wait and see who his next team-mate is, with many expecting it to be Oscar Piastri.
