Lakers' Luka Doncic reacts to Mavericks firing of general manager Nico Harrison

Luka Doncic led the Los Angeles Lakers to a 118-116 win over the San Antonio Spurs without LeBron James and Austin Reaves. Colin Cowherd asks if the Lakers are serious title contenders with this core.

The Dallas Mavericks fired general manager Nico Harrison on Tuesday, who is known for the infamous Luka Doncic trade.

Harrison stunningly traded Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers last season, and the team has struggled without him, leading to his firing. Doncic reacted to Harrison’s firing Wednesday.

"City of Dallas, the fans, players, they always have a special place in my heart. I thought I was going to stay there forever but I didn't," Doncic told reporters after the team’s 121-92 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

"They’ll always be a special place for me. Always I can call it home. But right now, I'm focused on the Lakers, trying to move on."

The 26-year-old was then asked if he could ever see himself playing for the Mavericks again now that Harrison is out of the picture.

"Right now I’m just focused on the Lakers. No further comments," Doncic said.
