After months of preparation, the highly anticipated 2022 Nigeria Volleyball Super Cup began yesterday at the National Stadium, Surulere Lagos.

He said the Local Organising Committee has put in a lot of work round the clock to ensure a hitch-free Super Cup.

The South-South Representative said, “Lagos state is hosting the Nigeria Volleyball Super Cup after years of missing volleyball actions. The best clubs in the country will lock horns on the court to produce a champion. In the men’s category, four teams from the Premier League (Kano Pillars, Nigeria Customs Service, NSCDC and Nigeria Police Force) as well as four teams in the Division 1 Kada Kings, Kwara United, Wikki Spikers of Bauchi and Spartan Spikers of Adamawa State) have started slugging it out.

“In the women’s category, defending Champions, NSCDC, Nigeria Customs Service, COAS Spikers, Nigeria Immigration Service, Kwara United and Zamfara Queens are the six clubs featuring and have started battle to see who will emerge tops.

“The Local Organising Committee has put in everything towards ensuring this competition is a success and we cannot do it without the support of major stakeholders including the media,” Daunemigha added.
