LA Clippers' Norman Powell out indefinitely with fractured bone in left foot

LA Clippers guard Norman Powell is out indefinitely because of a fractured bone in his left foot, the team announced on Sunday.

Powell missed the Clippers' 99-97 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday with what the team called turf toe. On Sunday, the Clippers clarified that Powell had suffered a fractured medial sesamoid bone in his left foot.

«The treatment is non-surgical at this time and there is not timetable for his return,» the Clippers said in their statement.

Powell, 28, was acquired by the Clippers last week along with Robert Covington in a trade with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Powell averaged 21 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists in three games for the Clippers this season.
