Kym Marsh branded 'sensational' as she hits blue carpet and says late father 'would want to be here'

Kym Marsh has been flooded with compliments as she hit the blue carpet in one of her first public appearances since the sad loss of her father. The actress and presenter said David, known as Dave, 'would want to be here' with her as she attended the Royal Television Society Programme Awards on Tuesday (March 26).

Kym was representing Waterloo Road, in which she plays Nicky Walters, alongside co-star Adam Ali, who stars as student Kai Shariff in the BBC One series, at the prestigious ceremony after the school-based drama was nominated in the Soap and Continuing Drama category.

And Kym wowed fans as she hit the blue carpet in a black mini-dress. The 47-year-old showed off her incredible figure in the beautiful ensemble which brought a bit of fun as it boasted pink feather sleeves before she added sheer tights to her leg and finished with a pair of black heels.

Kym's hair stylist Martine Alexander took to Instagram and shared a string of pictures of the former Coronation Street star posing for the camera in the eye-catching outfit as she explained the thought behind the look.
