Kylian Mbappe transfer dream emerges - five years after being let slip by his dad

Kylian Mbappe's father has previously confirmed his son is a Real Madrid supporter.

The French World Cup winner, 23, is heavily linked with a move to the Spanish capital and his existing Paris Saint-Germain deal expires in the summer.

Mbappe is believed to have turned down the chance to join Barcelona in 2017 - when he left Monaco for PSG - due to his admiration for Real.

"I am from Barca but my son Kylian is from Madrid," said Wilfred Mbappe in 2017, according to Spanish outlet Sport

"If he goes to Barca now, he can never end up playing for Madrid. If he goes to another club, he can always end up going to Madrid."

Sport go on to claim that Mbappe will either sign a new contract at PSG or join Real this summer. They are thought to be the only two viable options on the table.

Liverpool and Manchester City were both said to be keen on signing the forward, yet he isn't interested in a move to the Premier League in the near future.

A move to Barcelona is also believed to be off the table.

Mbappe is one of the best strikers in European football, scoring 154 goals in 204 appearances for PSG since leaving Monaco - initially on loan - in the summer of 2017.

Since the start of the 2016-17 campaign, the youngster has won four Ligue 1 titles, three French Cups, two French League Cups and two French Super Cups.

He's also appeared in a Champions League final, is a three-time Ligue 1 Golden Boot winner and a two-time Ligue 1 Player of the Year.

Mbappe scored a last-minute winner for PSG in their last 16 Champions League tie against Real last Tuesday, with the second leg scheduled for March 9 in Madrid.

No decision on his future is expected to made until after the winner of the tie is known.

"I've not decided my future,"
