Kylian Mbappe & Luka Modric swap shirts - Spanish reporter has meltdown

France can no longer retain the Nations League after losing 1-0 to Croatia on Monday night.

Luka Modric scored a fifth-minute in a repeat of the 2018 World Cup after Ibrahima Konate had fouled Ante Budimir.

France are now bottom of their Nations League Group A1 with just two points from their four games against Croatia, Austria and Denmark.

“It was a difficult month of June in terms of results. We did not have the energy and the strength against teams who had more than us,” said manager Didier Deschamps.

“We lost a bit of self-confidence along the way but it’s mostly freshness that we lacked. When you play so many games it is very very hard.”

France started with three of Europe’s top four goalscorers upfront in Karim Benzema, Kylian Mbappe and Christopher Nkunku but couldn’t find a way past Ivica Ivusic.

But it wasn’t just France fans who were frustrated at the end of the night.

One Real Madrid reporter, Josep Pedrerol, was seriously annoyed.

Why?

Because footage showed Modric and Mbappe swapping shirts at full time.

Recently, Mbappe turned down the advances of Real Madrid in order to remain at Paris Saint-Germain.

And Pedrerol was furious that Real midfielder Modric was willing to swap shirts with the Frenchman.

“Is what you’re telling me true?!” Pedrerol responded when told the two players exchanged shirts in the tunnel. “Modric has asked for Mbappe’s shirt?! What?!

“But how can he ask Mbappe for his shirt?! The guy who left Real Madrid stranded?!

“Modric is Madridista, Mbappe has laughed at Madridistas and he asks for his shirt?! This is a joke, no?!
