Kyle Dempsey sends message to Bolton Wanderers fans following club’s latest triumph

Bolton Wanderers midfielder Kyle Dempsey has taken to Twitter to praise the club’s fans for the support that they illustrated during yesterday’s clash with Charlton Athletic.

The 26-year-old made his second appearance for the Trotters in this particular fixture after delivering a cameo display during last weekend’s meeting with Morecambe.

Signed for an undisclosed fee from Gillingham last month, Dempsey will be keen to play a key role in Bolton’s quest to achieve a relative amount of success in League One between now and the end of the season.

The Trotters were able to get back to winning ways at the University of Bolton Stadium last night as they secured a 2-1 victory over the Addicks.

Dion Charles opened the scoring for Ian Evatt’s side in the 11th minute as he fired past goalkeeper Craig MacGillivray.

Following the break, Charlton levelled proceedings via an effort from Chuks Aneke.

Undeterred by this minor setback, Bolton responded by scoring what turned out to be the winning goal in the closing stages of this fixture as Will Aimson headed home from Aaron Morley’s free-kick.

Reflecting on his side’s latest display on Twitter, Dempsey praised the club’s fans whilst he also admitted that it felt great to make his home debut for Bolton.

The midfielder posted: “Felt great making my home debut!
