Klopp rallies Anfield against Arsenal as Arteta seeks first win in 11 visits

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has encouraged his fans to give Arsenal the “proper Anfield experience” when they meet in the Premier League today, reports BBC.

After Wednesday’s 5-1 Carabao Cup quarterfinal win over West Ham, Klopp said he was “not overly happy with the atmosphere” during the game.

He also said that fans “not in the right shape” should give their ticket “to somebody else”.

Speaking yesterday, he said: “I enjoyed 99.7 per cent of each second in that stadium.”

He continued: “I love it to bits. The atmosphere of these people. I am overly happy with everything.

“If we can do better, then people show us, and I said something, and that’s all. If people want to understand me right, I think it was possible. If not, I cannot change that now.

“I have nothing to say about the atmosphere now.

“I said we’d need Anfield on Saturday and that is 100 per cent true. We have to make sure we make it a proper home game and a proper Anfield experience. That is all I want.”

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, is expecting a “great atmosphere” as his side try and end an 11-year wait for a win on Merseyside. His side led 2-0 there last season but ended drawing, with Arteta calling the stadium a “jungle” before the game.

Amazon’s ‘All or Nothing’ documentary also showed Arteta playing ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ during training to try and prepare his players for the challenge – but his side were thrashed 4-0.
