Kilkenny pay tribute to two-time All-Ireland winner John 'Jack' Kinsella

Kilkenny have paid tribute to two-time All-Ireland SHC winner John 'Jack' Kinsella, who has passed away.

Kinsella played for the Cats between 1967 and 1973, lifting the Liam MacCarthy Cup in '67 and '72.

The Bennettsbridge native also won two Leinster titles, as well as three senior county crowns with his club.

Off the pitch, Kinsella was a member of The Capri Showband, and was a prominent presence on the airwaves for decades too, working for KCR, Radio Kilkenny and KCLR since the late '70s.

A Kilkenny GAA statement read: "Kilkenny GAA would like to extend its sympathies to John's wife Sheila, children Jackie, Gerri, Owena and Daniel, sister Moira, grandchildren and extended family."
