Khabib Nurmagomedov: UFC legend playing pool in 2021 is hilarious

Khabib Nurmagomedov is one of, if not the greatest to ever step foot in the Octagon, winning all 29 of his fights in the UFC and successfully defending his lightweight championship in all three fights it was on the line.

He retired in 2021 and at the time, was ranked as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the sport, so he certainly went out on top after high profile wins, including that spectacle against Conor McGregor.

Although he retired in 2021, his last fight was in October 2020 at UFC 254 when he defeated Justin Gaethje thanks to a second round submission, ensuring he went out on top.

When you are a major sporting star, you will often get asked to make media appearances, with that sometimes being contractual to the organisation/club you’re signed with.

These are used to promote all parties, whether that be the superstar, the company creating content or the sporting organisation itself.

Sometimes, these appearances can be incredibly tedious for the stars and you can tell when they’re not really interested in what they’re doing or their surroundings.

A lot of the time, these appearances are often interviews, but made into entertaining segments, such as the one Khabib once featured in.

For example, he was playing pool and early on, he pots the black ball after striking an object ball with the cue, breaking a host of rules and losing the match in a matter of seconds.

I wonder if the Russian did this on purpose to speed up the interview, or if he just didn’t have a scooby about the rules of the popular cue sport.
