Kerry Katona asks for prayers for her mum as she's rushed to hospital after heart attack

Kerry Katona has asked fans for prayers as she revealed that her mum Sue is in hospital after suffering a heart attack. The former Atomic Kitten singer looked upset as she addressed fans in a video released with her mum's blessing on Instagram.

Mother-of-five Kerry told followers that her mum was still in hospital, but she was unable to see her because she's on tour in an Easter pantomime production of The Wizard of Oz. The emotional star spoke out with Sue's permission to let fans know she's doing okay.

"Just letting you know for those who are not aware, my mum suffered a heart attack on Thursday," she said. "She is in hospital as we speak, but she wanted me to let you know she is doing okay. She's in the best place for her."

Kerry added: "I'm in the middle of a tour at the moment so I can't even go and see her right now." She went on to describe the incident as a 'huge scare.'

"Big scare. Huge, huge scare and so we're all a little bit shook up by it," she said. "But she's in hospital, she's in the right place and all the kids are going to see her today with Ryan (Kerry's fiance)."

Kerry explained: "I've got two shows and then another two shows to do tomorrow. It's been great fun this panto but I can't wait to get home and go and see my mum."

Kerry says her mum has had multiple heart attacks in the past and she is hoping to get her back into good health. She said she went straight to her mum's house when she was taken ill happened but wasn't allowed to go with her to hospital.
