Kelvin Fletcher ‘incredibly excited’ as he announces major family farm update

Kelvin Fletcher has made a major announcement regarding his family farm - and he says he’s ‘incredibly excited’.

The former Emmerdale actor and Strictly Come Dancing winner runs a 120-acre farm together with his wife Liz and their four young children. The working farm, in the Peak District national park, has been operated by the Fletcher’s since 2022.

Last year, the family began documenting their rural life with popular ITV1 and ITVBe show Fletchers’ Family Farm. The hit series followed the farm, in the village of Wincle, near Macclesfield in Cheshire, in the midst of the busy lambing season and as the family looked after an injured ewe.

Following the success of Fletchers’ Family Farm, it has been announced that the show will be returning to our screens later this year with a second series. Due to screen in the winter, the show will follow the Fletchers’ on their continued farming journey.

ITV said that the new 10-part series will feature more adventures as the family extend their livestock, as Kelvin welcomes a herd of pregnant cows to the farm and as they tackle an emotionally charged lambing season.

"We're incredibly excited to return to filming for the second series of Fletchers' Family Farm,” Kelvin said of the news. “The response from our viewers has been truly heartwarming and inspiring!"

Liz added: “It’s a genuine honour to invite the viewers back to our farm as we continue on this journey.”

Leanne Clarke, Assistant Commissioner for Entertainment & Daytime at ITV, said: “We are thrilled to have Kelvin, Liz and the family return for a second series. Last series was an exciting one, as well as being extremely entertaining
