Kelle Roos sends message to Derby County supporters after relegation confirmation
Derby County’s relegation to League One was confirmed on Monday after they suffered a late 1-0 defeat to Queens Park Rangers.
The loss combined with a dramatic 4-4 draw between Reading and Swansea City confirmed the Rams’ relegation.
Kelle Roos has made 87 appearances for the Rams over the last few years and stood strong as Derby started the season well in difficult circumstances under Wayne Rooney.
The Dutch goalkeeper took to Instagram to send a heartfelt message to the club’s supporters this afternoon.

He wrote: “The day after.
“After a lot of hard work, wins, losses, draws.
“Emotions like pain, anger, disappointment and frustration.
“I am left with a lot of pride.
“Pride to the club standing firm for so long without any clarity.
“To the fans who are the soul of this club that have been absolutely incredible no matter the circumstances.
“You were there when needed the most.
“To the background staff who are the backbone of this organisation.
“And last but not least the team.
“The kids that had to grow into men overnight and the seniors who have kept the spirit of the dressing room high regardless of their own emotions.
“It hurts to say that we are now officially relegated and didn’t manage to give you what we feel you deserved after all this.
“Thank you for your continued support.”
Rooney has kept every squad member on board this season and believing that the greatest of all escapes from relegation was possible.
Roos was one of them, and will most likely be looking for another club after his contract expires at Pride Park this summer.

It has been inspiring viewing to see just how well Derby have performed through so much adversity this season, and it speaks
