Kazakhstan v Wales LIVE: Kick-off time, TV channel, team news
Wales are in Kazakhstan this afternoon as Craig Bellamy’s side look to take another big step towards the 2026 World Cup.
Victory in Astana would see Wales climb to the top of Group J, with current leaders North Macedonia not in action until Sunday when they face Liechtenstein. Belgium, the group’s top seeds, are also in action later today as they travel to Vaduz to face the same opposition.
Speaking ahead of the game Bellamy said: “I’m really interested to see what happens. The travel, the pitch – it’s so exciting. This is why we’re here. We want to go to a major tournament.
“It’s supposed to be hard. These group games are always hard, but they have to be because we’re in the European stage to qualify for what we see as the major tournament."
It’s a tricky test for Wales in Central Asia, with kick-off against Kazakhstan coming at the earlier UK time of 3pm. The match is on BBC1 Wales, S4C and BBC iPlayer.
