Kazakhstan Team top medals table at Abu Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu Festival

ABU DHABI: The Abu Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu Festival, one of the standout events of the 17th edition of the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship, concluded on Saturday with Kazakhstan Team finishing top of the medal table, Russia’s Gymnasium Team placing second, and FAB Jiu-Jitsu Academy securing third place.

On the third and final day of competition, children from various clubs and academies around the world wrapped up the festival competitions.

The festival, which attracted participation from more than 10,000 athletes from more 130 countries, included awards for the top academies.

Abdullah Abdul-Ali Al-Humaidan, secretary-general of the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, praised the UAEJJF for organising a global event that brings together children and families from around the world in an atmosphere that reflects the values and spirit of the UAE community.

He said: “The goals of the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship align with the vision of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination in empowering individuals and supporting inclusive society. The event also supports the goals of the Year of the Community, which focuses on developing a stronger society and strengthening values of belonging, giving and unity across society.

“Watching children compete with enthusiasm and confidence shows the real meaning of sport. It helps build character, teaches commitment and belonging, and shapes a generation that values determination, teamwork and the desire to succeed.”
