One of the co-promoters for the fight, controversial boxing star Jake Paul, has made some huge claims about the anticipated purse for the contest.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour back on January 31st 2022, Paul noted that the two women were going to be paid a historic “seven figures” for the fight in Madison Square Garden.

He said: “They’re getting paid in the seven figures, which is historic. It’s never happened for women, guaranteed seven figures, plus pay-per-view. Obviously, it’s going to be a massive pay-per-view.

“This is life-changing for both girls and especially for Amanda Serrano, because I’ve heard her stories of how much she’s been getting paid since day one.
