Katie Taylor promises 'completely different fight' against Chantelle Cameron in bid for revenge

A determined Katie Taylor had little time for talk as she came face-to-face with conqueror Chantelle Cameron in Dublin, promising a "completely different fight" in the bid for revenge at the 3 Arena on Saturday.

Taylor and Cameron faced off with the Bray boxer giving little away in her plan to turn the tables on the Englishwoman, only to say she will be "ready" for the biggest challenge of a long career in the sport.

Taylor said: "I feel a lot better this time around, I just can't wait. There’s nothing else to say really. I’m ready to fight. I hate all the talk. I hate all these press conferences. There’s nothing to say. I’m just ready. I’m ready for whatever comes my way and ready to dig deep when I have to. I’ll be ready for whatever comes my way.

"I have a second chance here. I just can’t wait to fight at this stage. Whether I’m the underdog or favourite, or whoever walks to the ring second, all of that stuff is irrelevant. I’m just excited and hungry for the rematch and I can’t wait to step in there on Saturday and perform the way I know I can."

Taylor will have to overcome the younger, fresher champion who has aired supreme confidence having already silenced the Dublin crowd in May.

Many expect it to be an uphill battle for Taylor, but she is unconcerned by such opinion.

"I don’t take too much notice of what people are saying to be honest. I’m single-minded and the only people I listen to are my team, my family and the people I trust.

"I understand this is a huge fight and a must-win fight for me. I can’t wait to just step in there at this stage. I know I’m going to perform to the best of my ability and it’s going to be a completely different fight to the last time. I’m just excited to showcase that."
