Kate Winslet Reveals Why She She Took A Year Off From Acting

Kate Winslet is ready to get back to her acting career.

In a new interview, the 46-year-old actress opened up about why she stepped back from the business following the Mare of Easttown praise and work.

Speaking to Variety, Kate explained that it was good to take a step back and have a reset.

“I took last year off to be with my family and to recover from Mare of Easttown. It was good to have a bit of a reset,” she shared.

While she appreciates the break, Kate added that she’s actually craving being back on set.

“For an actor, there’s nothing as thrilling as being in a room with other actors. I am craving that again. But I’ve got heaps going on this year so I’m excited to get going.”

One big project that Kate has coming up is promoting her new movies, Avatar 2 and Avatar 3, which she filmed in 2020.

She even broke a record while she was shooting!
